AWS Cloud Governance SME

As an AWS Cloud Governance SME, you will use modern tools, techniques, and methods to develop, modify, or update applications used by business units or infrastructure units. Lead, or play lead technical role in development teams' efforts to determine unit needs and business processes that are automated by the application. Assess high level design issues relating to platform, enterprise software, and interactions with other systems.


•Very Strong Communication Skills and have worked in Collaborative Environment to bring multiple teams (Architecture, Cloud Infrastructure, Security, Risk) together to solve a problem.
•Experience in Leading Projects and Reporting to Management on Status, Progress etc.
•Work with product owners and other development team members to determine new features and user stories needed in large/complex development projects
•Assess new services and applications being introduced into the AWS environment to ensure they meet governance requirements
•Work with partners in information security, cloud operations, and risk to define and execute procedures to minimize risk
•Provide guidance to team members and analysis in best practices when assessing new applications and services


Basic Qualifications  

•Very Strong Knowledge of AWS Engineering, Cyber Security, Automation and general architecture and patterns.
•Extensive experience in Application migrations to Cloud with Cloud Native Patterns and provide support for Applications running in Cloud.
•Experience in troubleshooting IAM Policies, Resource permissions issues during migrations of Applications. 
•Strong knowledge of working with AWS Services Technologies EC2, ALB/ELB, Elastic Beanstalk, ACM, RDS, S3, LAMBDA, API Gateway, CloudFront, SNS, SQS, DynamoDB, Cloudwatch, ElastiCache, Docker and Application Runtimes  
•Strong knowledge of AWS Concepts (VPC, Subnets, AZs, Regions and Security Aspects of Various AWS Services (Encryption) and AWS Logging (Cloud Trail ) 
•Strong Knowledge of Automated Deployment Tools (AWS Code Pipelines, Cloud Formation, Terraform) 

Preferred Qualifications  

•Past Experience of Development or Architecture in Cloud is strongly preferre 
•Understanding of best practices in Cloud Governance in areas of Security, Access, Auditing, Network 
•Experience in building with Automation tools with AWS APIs with Scripting and  Languages like Python/Java 
•Ability to Understand and identify Risk areas and have worked to help mitigate
