Fannie Mae seeks Software Engineer – Washington DC


Work with product owners and other development team members to determine new features and user stories needed in new/revised applications or large/complex development projects. Use tools, techniques, and methods to develop, modify, or update applications.  Participate in or review all of the steps in the software development life cycle to create and modify the software. Create/update documentation including detailed specifications, implementation guides, architecture diagrams, and design documents in support of development efforts. Participate in code reviews to ensure that each increment adheres to original vision as described in the user story and all standard resource libraries and architecture patterns as appropriate. Serve as a technical lead for an Agile team and actively participate in all Agile ceremonies. Leverage company DevOps tool stack to build, inspect, deploy, test and promote new or updated features. Mentor less experienced technical staff.


  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Electronics and Communication Engineering, or related, plus 5 years’ progressive experience in job offered or related. 
  • Experience must include at least two years of GRC application MetricStream, Agile implementations, and implementation of Enterprise applications for large banking and financial services organizations. 
  • Excellent communication skills required.
