JOB INFORMATION


Our Integrated Technology Solutions (ITS), Digital Engineering, Team in Plano, TX is looking for an Associate Chief of Staff to join their team. You be will be part of supporting the team that is leading some the most important digital transformations changes at Fannie Mae. You will operate with latitude in performing complex duties related to performance management, financial management, compliance/operational discipline, and staffing issues for the entire business unit headed by our VP of Engineering. You will provide value-added expertise in developing new concepts, techniques, and standards. As well as utilize wide-ranging experience to conduct research and problem-solving on significant issues. This position will report directly to the VP of Digital Engineering. 


KEY JOB FUNCTIONS
•Assume a key role in developing, implementing, and monitoring strategies to achieve the unit's long-term goals and objectives. Recommend actions.
•Manage day-to-day administrative matters related to budget, technology, space, and procurement, among others. Collaborate with staff in improving internal administrative processes. Oversee financial management of budgets, including allocations.
•Develop, track, and assess key performance measures across the business unit. Develop management reports. Provide relevant data for unit monthly reports.
•Coordinate with Human Resources in planning and managing the staffing needs of the unit.
•Manage regulatory, SOX, and corporate compliance efforts. Manage information classification and security and privacy matters.
•Support company-wide, board/executive level, and external communication and presentation requests.
•May perform highly complex projects or participate as a team member on projects at the highest level of complexity.
•Act as a liaison between office locations (Plano, DC, and VA) for both ITS internally and the entire COO organization  
•May also have Project Management Office responsibility


 

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

4 – 6 years of related experience

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS


•Able to be a strong collaborator with demonstrated ability to create partnerships and influence people across teams as well as business leaders
•Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of data and information with attention to detail and accuracy
•Excellent communication and writing skills, able to effectively translate complex ideas into succinct recommendations especially to Sr. Leadership.
•Ability to initiate and follow through on projects, prioritize and organize tasks and work well independently
•Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and navigate through heavy administrative hurdles
•Self-starter who enjoys a fast-paced environment and isn’t afraid to disrupt the status quo
