This position reports to the VP and Technical Architect for the Architecture Strategy & Solutions team. This is a team of very senior technical architects who develop solutions supporting digital and other key business transformational initiatives. This role requires a highly collaborative individual who is comfortable working in a high-paced matrixed environment, who has broad and deep technical architecture skills and who has worked in complex environments where critical thinking, trade-off analysis, and business focus are key success criteria.

 




KEY JOB FUNCTIONS

This person will be responsible for developing the architecture, leading the design, and enabling execution of the hybrid cloud for Fannie Mae. This person will work to complete the design for the hybrid cloud platform and provide relevant patterns, guidelines, and standards that will enable applications to migrate to the cloud in support of the business objectives. This person will create standard solutions and patterns related to cloud adoption using industry guidelines and best practices. This role will continue to provide architecture support for cloud, hosting, and infrastructure teams who are responsible for delivering the hybrid cloud platform and for enabling application onboarding.

 

 

 

EDUCATION

 

 

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required

     

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

 

 

  • 8+ years of related experience

     

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

 

 

 

·        Knowledge of cloud native design patterns 

 

·        Experience developing high availability architectures using AWS (required) and Azure (desired) services. 

 

·        Practical and hands-on with developing multi-cloud strategies and enterprise level solution plans. 

 

·        Experience supporting application cloud migrations

·        AWS, Azure, GCP, VMWare OpenShift, Docker, Kubernetes
