JOB INFORMATION

Plan and direct the work of a unit whose staff develop and integrate an enterprise-wide Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Strategy that drives positive, measurable business value and social, environmental and governance impact. Execute ESG Board-approved commitments by integrating ESG into all businesses and groups. Partner with enterprise leaders to deliver market-viable, profitable, ESG security products. Deliver on ESG commitments and create, update, or integrate ESG policies and processes within the unit and across the business lines.

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Executes strategy to integrate environmental, social and governance principles into all Fannie Mae business lines and into corporate groups
  • Works with business lines and corporate groups to identify existing and new goals that support ESG outcomes
  • Applies knowledge of SF and MF mortgages products and securities to launch new ESG products in partnership with businesses
  • Responsible for delivering ESG goals, products and actions with businesses and groups to execute on a set schedule, with appropriate resources
  • Pilots and owns new ESG actions that support ESG outcomes; transitions successful actions into the businesses and groups
  • Supports VP in ensuring enterprise ESG goals are approved by Board; supports VP in tracking and report progress on ESG goals to Board
  • Responsible for Fannie Mae?s Green Bond and Social Bond Framework and conformance to ICMA and other international standards
  • Monitors market, regulatory, social, environmental and governance trends to identify potential opportunities and risks
  • Develops brand, marketing and communications strategy in partnership with Corporate Communications; responsible for reviewing enterprise messages and all communications written by Enterprise ESG team
  • Partners with ESG Impact Reporting team to create and track ESG metrics from across enterprise Report to senior management on the unit's production, activities, and efforts. Provide information to the board of directors and interact with regulatory staff, as needed. Represent the unit as an expert or resource to cross-functional project or coordinating teams. Plan, document, and manage the performance of subordinate managers and/or staff. Provide for professional or technical growth through assignment, mentoring, or training. Plan and manage the unit's budget. Approve expenditures or budget transfers.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

  • 8+ years of related experience

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Works with business lines and corporate groups to identify existing and new goals that support ESG outcomes
  • Applies knowledge of Single Family and Multifamily mortgages products and securities to ESG
  • Provides reports and analyses
  • Partners with businesses and groups to execute on a set schedule, with appropriate resources
  • Monitors market, regulatory, social, environmental and governance trends to identify potential opportunities and risks
  • Develops marketing, communications and training materials in partnership with Corporate Communications
  • Partners with ESG Impact Reporting team to create and track ESG metrics from across enterprise Report to senior management on the unit's production, activities, and efforts.
